What Should I Expect During A Laser Tattoo Removal Treatment?
Once our team decides that your skin is ideal for laser tattoo removal, the tattoo will be prepped with a thorough cleansing and an application of numbing cream. We will then pass the applicator over the tattooed skin as it releases pulsing laser energy. The treatment time varies, depending on the size and location of the tattoo. In some situations, the tattoo may require a number of sessions before noticeable results can be seen. We will discuss these variables with you at your consultation.
After each session, an ointment will be applied to the treated skin along with bandages to help protect the area. You may experience redness, swelling, and sensitivity. You may also feel a sunburned sensation followed by minor scabbing. It's important to closely follow aftercare instructions to speed up the recovery process. After the site has healed, your next session may be scheduled. We recommend scheduling sessions about 4 – 7 weeks apart.
