What Should I Expect During A Chemical Peel?

Since this level of peel causes more discomfort, we can provide you with local anesthesia to keep you comfortable.
For your peel at Allure Medical Spa, you will lie down in a relaxed position while we clean and prep your skin for the customized solution. We then spread the solution onto your face (or neck) and let it work for a specific amount of time determined in your planning session. Then, we'll wash the solution off and apply a neutralizing agent. You may want to bring a light sunscreen or a hat to wear following your session to avoid sun exposure.
Depending on your peel strength, expect your face to peel and itch for a few days or weeks. Our team will give you tips on how to care for your skin during this time. Please remember that no matter how much your skin itches during the healing process, avoid peeling the skin off, as this could cause scarring.
