Contact UsWhat Is Microneedling?
When over-the-counter skin care products are no longer effective, but you don't want surgery, consider nonsurgical procedures for skin rejuvenation, like microneedling. We are pleased to perform microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) at our office in Gillette, WY. Microneedling uses several fine-gauge needles to safely and effectively create micro-injuries in the skin. The micro-injuries trigger the body's natural production of collagen and elastin, two nutrients that enhance the appearance and health of your skin. Often performed with other skin treatments, like serums or platelet-rich plasma (PRP), microneedling can help minimize the appearance of pores, stretch marks, and scars. Make an appointment for a consultation at Allure Medical Spa to discover more about the benefits of microneedling and how we can personalize the treatment for you and your skin.
What Should I Expect During A Microneedling Session?
Microneedling is performed in a treatment room in around 30 – 60 minutes with local anesthesia or numbing cream (if preferred), but most patients generally feel little to no pain. The areas of skin being addressed will be cleaned before the needles are used. Once the microneedling is done, a topical treatment, such as PRP (platelet-rich plasma) or serum with a vitamin infusion, may be applied for deeper penetration of the nutrients into the skin. Finally, a moisturizer and SPF blocker will be massaged in, as the treated skin will be sensitive for a while afterward.
Following the procedure, you may have some swelling and redness for around a day, but this should subside naturally. It may take up to a couple of months before you notice visible improvements in the appearance and health of your complexion, as the collagen and elastin levels develop. You should plan to get around 4 – 6 follow-up treatments every 4 – 6 weeks for the best results and benefits.
Allure Medical Spa Reviews
"I got the vagina Rejuvenation and as a mom of 4 kiddos, I used to have to cross my legs whenever I sneezed or coughed! And I never could jump on the trampolines with my kids as it was like a faucet of pee if I even tried. After getting the treatments I can proudly say that I don't have to cross my legs anymore and I can now join in on the fun on the trampoline! As a mom, you're always told that it's normal for you to not be able to control your bladder after having babies but thus treatment allows you to take the control back. Our bodies did an amazing thing to bring life into this world and we deserve to treat ourselves afterwards!!! I am very happy that I chose to get this treatment! I took back control over my body and I'm so grateful for this!!" -K.W
I highly recommend Allure Medical Spa, Hailey and Lynn! They can help you turn back the hands of time in many areas! The atmosphere is professional, private, and comfortable. I have been very happy with every service (both face and body) that I have purchased. The results have been incredible, without looking like I had a ‘procedure.’ I feel better about myself and believe I have received the best beauty treatments and procedures, which will help me age more graceful. Thank you so much, Michelle

Does microneedling hurt?
No, most patients don’t find a microneedling treatment at Allure Medical Spa painful or even uncomfortable. However, if pain is a concern, we offer both local anesthesia and topical numbing cream to help make your experience enjoyable.
Can I combine other treatments with microneedling?
Yes, you can. In the microneedling process, channels are made that make it easier for treatments to penetrate the deeper layers. That's why microneedling is frequently combined before other treatments, like vitamin-rich serums and others. In your consultation, we can discuss what treatments may be performed along with microneedling and which would most benefit your skin.
How many treatments are recommended for optimal results?
Most patients receive 3 – 6 treatments to achieve optimal results. Although, how many treatments you need will vary based on your skin's condition and your goals. Microneedling can be safely performed every 4 – 6 weeks as needed. During your consultation, we will be able to estimate how many treatments you might need after assessing your skin and listening to your goals. When your skin goals are reached, we suggest getting touch-up treatments about twice a year.
Is microneedling safe for everyone?
In general, microneedling is appropriate for all skin tones and types. Skin injuries created by microneedling are so minor there are usually no side effects afterward. Microneedling can be applied to most areas of skin, including the face, arms, neck, chest, and legs. Microneedling is not recommended if you've used Accutane recently, as well as if you have an open wound, herpes simplex, or active skin infection. In addition, you might not be a candidate for microneedling if you are nursing, pregnant, or undergoing radiation therapy.
